Meeting the new UDOT payroll reporting requirements

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) has implemented a new payroll reporting system for all federally funded projects, including stimulus projects. This system will require that contractors submit a copy of their payroll information electronically to UDOT.
Payroll information must be submitted via an xml file or through manual entry.

Contractor payroll codes must match the Davis Bacon wage codes for each federal project.
Submitted data must be fully compliant with UDOT Civil Rights payroll reporting requirements.
Stimulus reporting requirements for the State of Utah are being reported through the UDOT Civil Rights software.

All the stimulus projects will be required to use the UDOT Civil Rights software.
For more information on UDOT reporting requirements, go to www.udot.utah.gov.
We need to know as soon as possible any clients that are doing UDOT jobs or that are bidding on UDOT jobs so that we are better prepared to comply with UDOTs new requirements.

Please let us know any clients that this will impact ASAP. Arizona and Colorado I have also included you as you may have clienst that do jobs for the state of Utah.

State Spending on Roads Meant to Create Jobs

Dec. 7--Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. calls it a "kick-start" for the state's economy, a multi-faceted plan to infuse billions into Utah's economy, that he says could preserve jobs and jolt the housing and construction sectors back to life.
It includes incentives to get people back to buying homes, borrowing money to keep road construction crews on the job, and pushing ahead with state buildings that have private donors.
"All told the stimulus package would save about 20,000 jobs, or at least preserve them, and it would... keep $600 million in wages annually in this state," Huntsman said, unveiling his budget on Thursday.
